[G4] Bandwith dropped

Try switching data cables. Perhaps there is kink, or poor connection, and
packets need to be resent -- therefore the BW reduction.

Did you try to re-start the mac and see if the network speed
improves, it might be one of those things that happens after a
computer has been on for some time...
