DON'T DO IT! Back when I got my first NEW Mac, a Quicksilver 867, I put one of the mini CD's in it and tried to play it. I even bought one of those adapter rings to fit on it. Result: The CD jammed in the drive and the adapter broke into pieces. Thank God that I had just purchased the Mac only a month earlier. I brought it back to the Apple Store and they had it back for me within 2 days with a new DVD drive. Seems that the CD had broken quite a few of the internals, not to mention all of the broken pieces of the adapter. After that, I swore I would never attempt that again.
