[G4] iDVD 5 not supporting my Pioneer DVR-109

Your OS doesn't know that this new DVD player can record too. Just reload
your OS - Tiger - and you will be OK.

OS X 10.4 Should work just fine.  Go to System profiler - then disc  
burn and see what it says.
