If the OS9 disk is one that comes with OSX, I don't believe you can boot from 
that. I believe it is a restore type disk. You may need to install OS9 onto 
the hard drive and then boot into OS9 on the hard drive, from OSX. I'm not 
talking about booting classic. Then, you can make a bootable OS9 CD. I cannot boot 
from my OS9 install disk either.

Well, I zeroed my disk, reinstalled 10.4 with os9 drivers, and it still will
not boot from os9 cd, I'm at a loss. Thanks to all of you who offered your
thoughts, I wish I could remember what I had to do to make it work last
time.
