[G4] Firewire target disc mode G4

Did you boot one while holding T?  Does it boot to the Firewire logo  
bouncing on the screen?

Did that with my laptop, then plugged the cable in and plugged it  
into my desktop and it showed up right away.

Can you try another cable?
