[G4] Adding RAM

It will work.  I would suggest stay with the same maker, to avoid  
compatibility issues..  You can use PC133, and try to get CL2 ram.   
Even in the late '80s, running a Intel 386, it was recommended.  It  
could increase your speed by as much as 25%.
