Hey John thanks a lot there is no phone jack on the back there is the small plate cover so I'll leave it off. Thanks again (daughter board that's what it is alright thanks) MIKE John Niven wrote: > It's a phone modem. You need a wire that runs under the motherboard to the back panel which should have a phone jack. If your machine doesn't have that jack then the hole will be blocked with a small plate. I guess you don't need it, so unscrew this small daughter board and lift it off the connector. Go to the LEM swap list and offer it for sale. People who use phone modems sometimes have them blown up be lightning. > > Otherwise just leave it there. > > John > > > --- On Mon, 7/21/08, Mike McClurg <msmcclurg at gmail.com> wrote: > > >> From: Mike McClurg <msmcclurg at gmail.com> >> Subject: [G4] g-4 motherboard >> To: G4 at listserver.themacintoshguy.com >> Date: Monday, July 21, 2008, 10:01 PM >> help I've found a small circuit board on the corner of >> the motherboard >> opposite from the internal firewire connection It reads >> _hong kong >> telecom _model ud1.029.c.00 >> serial # *HS01507MQG0BR* any ideas what this is - as >> my original >> board did _not _have one? >> Mike_______________________________________________ >> G4 mailing list >> G4 at listserver.themacintoshguy.com >> http://listserver.themacintoshguy.com/mailman/listinfo/g4 >> > _______________________________________________ > G4 mailing list > G4 at listserver.themacintoshguy.com > http://listserver.themacintoshguy.com/mailman/listinfo/g4 > > -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
