My goal for leaving this place, is to die around 95 by being shot by a
jealous husband as I am making love to his 30 year old trophy wife !!

Yes but if he want home theater then this usually implies multi-channel
sound not just stereo. Nearly all pc's have that built in. There aren't very
many Mac sound cards since sound has nearly always been a built in feature.
My guess is that a firewire or usb connected sound module will be required
to get 5.1 sound.

My "home theater" employs a G4 DP450MHz with a SATA card and big disk. It
has a Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard. The stereo out goes to a small
amp and speakers, while the VGA out goes to my Samsung flat panel. This
allows me to watch "video files of dubious origin that my son gets from
places on the web" :-) I use the free VLC s/w for viewing.

Aren't I naughty!
