Good Day, Snow leopard is great on my ONE intel box but I too have 4 G4 an 1 G5 machine. Snow leopard does not run on any of them but I have leopard on all the others to include my g4 cube. Bottom line, is the G4/G5 doing what you need to do or not? Mine still are useful machines and I see them as such for as long as they run. Will I buy more g4/g5 systems? Sure if the price is right and I have a use for one. But my goal is the eventual replacement of almost all of them with Intel as I upgrade my intel box to the next generation, which I do every 3-5 years. My G5 is still going as my wife's machine and she does not care that it is dual processor 2.3 ghz and 6 gb ram, she cares that it does what she needs. My two dual processor quicksilvers are still online one running g4 server for me to play with and the other for video editing using my formac device that will NOT run on the intel box. My g4 laptop gets the least use but I keep it running for those emergencies. So either you are happy with your machine and the os it can run or not. Apple is going to do what most companies should do, support old hardware for a reasonable time and then move on so that they can innovate and cut the bottom line, support to antiquated hardware. Once Apple Care runs out, your hardware is almost done as far as apple is concerned, that is a hint that you should be saving for the upgrade. ; ) Abraham Abraham Bloom abrahambloom at verizon.net -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
