[G4] PCI Slot issues in a MDD

Hi

I have a 1.25 DP MDD running 10.3.9.  Im trying to run Protools 6.4 with a
Digi 001 interface and PCI card.

When nothing is plugged in the computer runs fine and it is seeing the card
in its slot.  after shut down, I plug in the interface to the PCI and then,
the computer wont boot up AT ALL...no power up ( I have tried all 4 slots, 2
cables, 2 interfaces, and 2 PCI cards)

I have an older G4 500 MHZ, everything works fine in that computer just
slower.

I reloaded Protools into the MDD to try to reload any drivers, but no
success.

what am I missing???
