Do you havfe anything like freecycle in Europe as we do in the USA.

Almost every month I see a few 19" and 17" monitors offered for pickup in the Lowland Puget Sound area in and around Seattle, USA.  I have obtained several spares in that way for the cost of gasoline and some wear and tear on my car for traveling 10 to 20 miles round trip.

Well, my LaCie Electron-19-blue-III died last week, connected to a G4 DA/533
running 10.4.11 and 9.2.2.
I went half a mile around the corner (I'm living in Amsterdam, The
Netherlands, Europe) and found in a big computershop following:
1) Samsung LCD 19" 1360x768 943SN for Euro 100 (= US$ 123)
2) Samsung LCD 22" 1680x1050 2243BW for Euro 160 (= US$ 196)
3) LG LCD 23" 1920x1080 W2343T-PF for Euro 170 (= US$ 209)
And I'm quite sure you'll find these in in the USA (not sure about other
areas) for the same price or even better!! Just google for factory +mod.no.!

Well, I bought 1 Samsung 19" for my G4 DA and 2 Samsung 22" to replace 2 old
Apple ColorSync 20" I still had in use. Besides being better/more modern
displays, the LCD's will save enormous energy-costs compared to the old
CRT's.

Just FYIO,
