[G4] Stuck Zip Disk???

I do not think the ZIP needs replacing.Install a OS 9 disk and disk utility will fix it.Just had same problem on a Quicksilver. I formatted the disk and it works perfect.When you re-boot with disc in optical drive hold C key down so it boots up on the disc and not C
 Drive.I always keep OS9 disc handy for repairs.
