<P><SPAN id=obmessage>Here's the big picture. This machine was given (free!) to a friend of mine who is a Graphics Artist Illustrator. It was given away because the original owner could'nt get OS X on it. ( and hence My Current Problem.)
<P>His parents generously gave hiim $1200. for a new computer, to assist him in his livelihood. This a lot of money to him and he doesn't want to pay for upgrades unless HE IS SURE the machine will go to X.</P>
<P>He could buy a new machine, but for some reason didn't like the mini mac's. I too recommended them to him. And other newer machines as well. I own a G5 myself. And may soon own this one too (free!).</P>
<P>On the plus side, if we upgrade it for roughly $600. He has $600. to get a printer and a scanner. Thats a big plus! And he got a decent monitor out of the whole deal. Otherwize, I don't see him as able to get a printer and a scanner for quite some time.</P>
<P>So thats the big picture. And hence, my dilemma. I think I can make this machine work for him, it just requires some outlay. Once I get it right, I know he will want it.</P>
