Are there known problems when you have mixed FW400 and 800? After going to 10.4.4, I'm getting some distortion from my Itunes music which is on a FW800 drive. I have an M-Audio Firewire 410. I play in and out through this device (it's also used for my guitar recording). Thanks David ps I apologize for the cross post.
