[HM] Acrobat 5 problem ...

Bryan, have you tried the Form Tool in the Acrobat tool bar. Or 
double click on the field and perhaps the Form Tool will open to 
display the settings in that field.  If Security set by the creator 
of the document allows you to change the field, that may be where it 
can be done. - Linda
