This assumes, of course, that your addresses remain the same over time
(as in static addresses). In my house, I use DHCP and resets and
poweroffs cause new ip addresses to be issued from the router, so
sometimes I see stale addresses in the connect to server dialogue until
the mac successfully scans the network again.
