[HM] Reason to buy iLife

Thom,

I could be wrong, but I don't believe that Panther does come with 
Garageband.  I upgraded through Apple, with their $20 deal since I had 
just bought a machine with Jaguar...and it most definitely did not come 
with iLife.  I checked on their website and didn't see anything 
indicating that Garageband was packaged...but I could be wrong...it has 
been known to happen.

I did notice that you can get a $50 rebate if you buy Panther and iLife 
04 together...which would...in effect...make iLife free.

I agree that it is frustrating that the iPod photo requires iPhoto 
4.0...and does not come bundled with it.  For what it's worth...iPhoto 
04 is much faster...a huge improvement.

I"m not sure if iMovie would have worked for the voiceovers.  I need to 
be able to record chunks as different tracks. so we can move things 
around and play with the timing.  I think it would have been tough to 
do in iMovie, if it would have worked at all.
