This javascript can be invoked prior to printing, and it will place the URL on the printed page. Check it out in Preview to see if you like it. This is not my script, by the way. I got it as freeware. Just create a new URL in your Bookmarks bar, call it "Print w/ URL" and paste in the javascript as the actual address of the url. it worked fine for me before Tiger made it unnecessary. If you have trouble doing this, let me know and I'll send you off list the actual webloc file that you could simply drag to your URL bar. Click yes and wait for the process to complete. This is the first solution to try as it is least invasive. If that fails, start up from your System CD (hold down the "C" key until the Mac boots to the CD, you'll see CD icons in the background during the boot process. Open the utilities folder and run Disk First Aid to Repair your hard disk. Disk First Aid is also the least intrusive disk managment tool. Failing that step finding your missing items you can reinstall the system; Macs are much more polite than PCs in that you can do a system refresh without losing all your files and settings. Much as I like Safari, and I agree that it beats the pants off Explorer, I find it also stumbles in several other places. Specifically, it doesn't work well at all with my bank's online banking service, and it also has problems getting along with a few other sites I routinely visit. Therefore, the solution I've found that works best for me is to use Safari as my general browser, but to keep Firefox as my backup, used just when I do my online banking and visit other sites that I've found to be Safari-Unfriendly. I find that on these sites FireFox works perfectly, though when there are no problems I prefer Safari. The application called iMovie will import video from your DV camera, via the firewire cable. Then you edit the movie, and pass it onto to iDVD which will burn a DVD for you. jack -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Never have we had to erase our iPods, or any portion of them (except for when we filled them...obviously different) It is, however, not so easy to take music off an iPod and import it into iTunes. In that situation, it is correct that only one computer can "own" the iPod. There are third party apps that let you get around that and share music from the iPod, but it wouldn't be a "legit" use of the files. Like I said, maybe we're the exception...but from our experience you should be able to just plug it in and put the songs on it like you typically do. Hope this helps. If you sync it to the second computer, it could erase your files. Depending on your settings, syncing will make your ipod a mirror image of the computer that you are connected to, therefore erasing everything that you had on it from the other machine. However, syncing is not the only way to transfer files. Just drag and drop playlists and songs onto the iPod and you will be fine. Of course, make sure that you have all your files backed up anyway. Technology is never a promise.
