I added a bigger drive to it, with OS 9.2 The battery was dead, so the time is off. I start the machine, and it boots (I tried with extensions off). It gets to the point where it is going to tell me about the time, but all I get is the Warning window, (blank) with OK and an Exclamation point showing. The mouse is frozen and the system freezes. I have Zapped the PRAM, no help. Machine breakdown: G3 Beige, G4/500 upgrade, 768 Ram, 6 MB Video ram, A/V Wings card, OS 9.2 Ideas? Help? My G4 iMac will boot into 9 and 10. I am running 9.2.2 and 10.2.8. I have Outlook Express 5.0.4 in the Applications folder and 5.0.6 folder by itself on the hard drive. I have been using 5.0.6 since January, but I never deleted 5.0.4 from my computer. I have been in 9.2.2 for some time, since my Epson won't print some stuff in Classic. (another problem, another time!) Today I decided it was time to work in OS 10 and booted up in that OS. When I open Outlook, my old messages are there from months ago (when I last was using 10), but not any of the current ones. Get Info says that I am using 5.0.6. So I tried to import using Import on the file menu, but it doesn't find the stuff it needs from the 5.0.6 folder. I can navigate to the folder, but the application icon does not show up. Further, when I open the folder of 5.0.4 (which is in the Applications folder), I can see an Identities folder. No such folder exists in the 5.0.6 folder, which is by itself on the hard drive. How do I get the current messages from the Outlook in 9 into the Outlook in 10???? Jane, who is as confused as you are! Message-ID: <42BC27B5.8000909@rochester.rr.com> Hello to all. This is my first post to this group and Im hoping someone has "been there/done that" and can shed some light on this DVD Player problem. I have OS9.2.2 on one drive and my updated OSX10.4.1 on a second drive. Im trying to ease off of OS9.2.2 and get into my newest OSX. Initially I would like to say that "Tiger" is a great improvement over the previous versions. Now my problem is this: My OS9.2.2 DVD player app version 2.7 works fine with my newly installed Pioneer DVR-109 as did my previous DVD-ROM: Hitachi Model GD-3000. When I use either of these two drives in OSX10.4.1 I only get the sound and the video is pixellated something awful. I have even updated the Player app in OSX from V4.5 to V4.6. Big blocky chunks, mostly green in color. Pieces of the images are viewable inbetween the random pixelation. Ive even tried Mplayer as somone mentioned to me today. That won't work at all (doesn't work as directions say it should). So, has anyone seen this problem? If I knew how to take a "Screen Shot" I would send a reduced image so you could see this messy display. I figure its not my ATI 8500 Display card because as I said earlier, it works fine in OS9.2.2! I would really appreciate any help you can send my way! Thanks. Tom MAC: G4/OSX10.4.1/ATI Radion 8500 card/ 1gig ram/Pioneer DVR-109 ver:1.55!
