[MacDV] Copying MiniDV tapes

Have you tried putting the camera in VTR (playback) mode? With the two 
Canon's I have (XL1 and EluraMC2) the way to record from an external 
source is to put the cam in VTR mode and push play and record on the 
playback controls. The other modes are for recording from the camera.
