small but good wide-angle lens for Sony TRV33???

Hello all,
Can anyone recommend a good, but small, wide-angle lens for the new 
Sony TRV33 (mini-dv) camera?  I've checked out the two 30mm w/a 
lenses that Sony offers, but they're surprisingly big... making a 
lovely little camera ungainly and cumbersome.
It's an issue for me because I shoot pretty well everything hand-held 
and up quite close, so I'd like to get a lens that I can just leave 
on the camera... without making the camera too bulky.
Everything else can be made smaller, yet better - - maybe this just 
isn't true of lenses?
P.S. if there's a better site for me to ask about this, please let me know.
