Erica,

I'm writing about selecting an item in the iPhoto Library. These don't
exist (yet) as stills, so they don't have an "original length." 

Actually, I'm not quite sure what you're referencing here as, playing
around with some KBE'ed photos that I've brought in and a still frame
created by Extract Still Frame, I can't get them to go 5x in duration --
still limited to 60 seconds, regardless of whether the originally
imported duration was 3 frames, 5 seconds, or 30 seconds.
