newby question

I'm new to digital video...

I'm using imovie 3 on a G3 350 with 700mb ram and 2 drives (imovie is on a
30 GB and I capture on a separate 20GB drive.

I'm attempting to export back to tape and I'm getting garbled audio near the
end of the project....

Can I do anything different or am I making a basic mistake?
