The New Towers - (formerly "refurbished G4")

The ONLY problem with that is: the next release of towers with the
enhancements will be bootable in OS X ONLY.

That sucks for those of us who still love features of OS9 (and need it in
some cases).

So, I guess the question is: Why can't we take home one of these new towers
that are only bootable in X and wipe the drive clean, reformat it, and
partition it with both 9 and X? I was told it couldn't be done but I'd like
to know why.

Personally, I'm trying to wait until the new towers are announced so that I
can scoop up the current 1ghz model at a much lower price - and the fact
that it is the last G4 to be able to supposedly run 9 makes it a dire need
to have.
