Since I sometimes need to know QUICKLY which files are MP3s and which 
are not, I whipped up a "smart playlist" that instantly shows me which 
files are AACs, which are MP3s, which are AIFFs etc.

While I'm on the subject of smart playlists, another good idea is to 
make one called "Radio2" (or something like that) and tell it to put 
any track >20 minutes in that list. It's a quick easy way of finding 
all your non-built-in iTunes radio URLs.*

*what, you don't have any non-built-in radio stations?! Get thee hence 
to live365.com or shoutcast.com and enjoy the buffet! :)
