If your intent is to save a still image from iMovie 2, there is a "Save Frame As" option under the file menu (assuming you are in Mac OS 9...not sure if it would be under the same menu in X).

Great idea! I hadn't thought of screen capture. I had tried copy and
paste, but it doesn't work. Thanks.
