[MacDV] No audio when exporting from iMovie to DV deck

I have put together a short test video in iMovie 2.12.  I have extracted
audio and the timeline shows video and one audio track.  It looks fine in
the application, but when I try to export to a DV deck, the there is no
audio in the application and only video is recorded to tape.  What am I
doing wrong?  I have a PowerBook G4 667, and Sony DSR-11 deck.
