[MacDV] Which bus-powered, portable FW drive do you recommend for DV?

Has anyone experimented with either revision iPod yet? We just got a 30 GB
model for sneakernet action (10BaseT everywhere except in my office, which
doubles as the server closet) but our editor is too swamped for my
mad-scientist experiments, let alone to finally upgrade her TiBook to Mac OS
X and Final Cut Pro 3 (yes, FCP3). TIL article 60920 doesn't even touch the
subject.
