Yes, I'm in Pittsburgh, the Steel City itself.  And having children in 
school was what got me the academic price for FCP3 in 2002.  After a 
few too many folks heard the news and got friends with children in 
school to get themselves a copy, the folks at Apple decided to change 
the policy...  I can't fault Apple for wanting to make more $, but I 
did call in a favor and got one more item at the cheap price.  More 
than paid for the All-in-one 630CD I bought for the Kindergarten class 
in October :-)  I'm becoming a bigger believer in Karma these days.  
What goes around comes around, the wheel keeps spinning, or in K.'s 
case, he's Goin' Down the Road Feelin' Good :-)
