When Apple announced FCP 4 at NAB, they immediately stopped selling FCP 
3 at their online Educational Store. You could only pre-order the $399 
Upgrade or $499 Full Academic FCP 4 from the moment of the press 
conference forward. That's where I dropped the ball. I forgot about the 
Academic retail stores completely and only Saturday did I realize this 
was an option as I dropped by the FCP cover page on the Apple site. So 
yesterday was my mission day and thank God my mission was accomplished. 
This morning I faxed my application in. I should have my FCP 4 Upgrade 
by next week.
