DV Audio

I'm hoping someone out there can help me.

I'm capturing DV through an old Director's Cut A/D box.
It produces sound in the 1st two DV audio channels but
not the 2nd two.

Does anyone know a way to trick my Mac into duplicating
the first two channels?

I'm trying to get iChat DV to work with this box but
the mixed audio produces nothing but loud static
because of the missing 3rd and 4th channels.
