[MacDV] DVD Import?

keep the quality the best you can AND as was just said, do it as fast 
as anything by improting to iMovie.
do It via a modern DV camcorder that has "pass through" Analog to DV 
conversion (or a converter box about the same price as a low end 
camcorder). then make a nice menu in iDVD.

if you go direct to dvd you won't have a nice DVD menu that looks professional.

forget the DVD recorder, you are not saving anything.
