Question about upgraded machines and DVD creation

Has anyone had success with any Apple DVD program using a G3 that's been
upgraded to a G4/500 with a Pioneer 104 (internal)?

I cannot get iDVD to work.... and of course Apple doesn't respond because
(I'm guessing) They don't like when people upgrade the processor...?

Does anyone use DVD Studio Pro??

Or am I going to have to buy a G4?

Please reply off list, I'm on digest mode.
