Reminds me of something I read about with other non-computer items. I 
seem to recall it was some kind of pyramid scheme where the early 
people in get the merchandise and the later ones do not. Their 
non-refundable payments are supporting the early ones and the last ones 
lose their money. I'm thinking I read about it after the law stepped 
in. Maybe they are out of jail now and starting a new scheme.

I wouldn't bite.
