Well, I DID list is as a DVCAM deck. This is a pro deck-if you're doing video on a shoestring and using your cheap camera as a deck, this unit is not for you. I have used it since new with both formats and BOTH size tapes and it has worked flawlessly. The only irregularities I have had is the difference of recording rate of the locked audio in DVCAM mode and DV and afaik this is only a problem when trying to play these tapes back in a VX1000-which you wouldn't do anyway. Used as a feeder deck to my computer it is great-fast, efficient and accurate. I also have used it to back up my DV tapes to the much longer playing 184 minute DVCAM tapes. One just sold the other day for $2400. This one is better and can be had for less. So if you need a good deck, please buy mine- I need to support my antique toy habit ;) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=21166&item=3015153445 Good Luck! Ron--
