Nope. It's because your drive is a DVD-R, not DVD+R. Note the 
difference.

(some Apple drives may in fact be able to do both format, but Apple has 
not to date enabled the ALLEGED ability in SOME drives to do DVD+R. And 
don't expect that to happen anytime soon, either.)
