Hi everyone,

The following is a guide to help you record
audio cassettes and then burn them to CD. You will
need a couple of things to get started. First you need
to get an "iMic". You can get one for about $35.00
from griffintechnology.com. The software I used was a
simple to use program called "Audio In". You can
download it for "free" at versiontracker.com. Type in
"Audio In" in the search tab located in the top right
hand corner. It will be on the list. Now you need to
take your RCA jacks (1 red, 1 white) from the "tape
out" on your cassette deck and plug them into the "Y"
adapter that comes with the iMic. Plug the mini jack
into the mic input in the iMic. Plug the iMic into any
USB port and were ready to record. Open up "Audio In"
and hit record and play on your cassette deck at the
same time. Now your recording. Keep an eye on the
cassette, you'll have to manually hit the stop button
in the audio in window once the tape is finished,
otherwise it will just keep recording, nothing. It will
automatically place a folder on your desktop. Open up
"iTunes". Make a new playlist and call it whatever you
want. Then just drag the folder from your desktop into
your playlist. Just click "Burn Disc" and you should
have a CD of your audio cassette in a couple of
minutes. I think I covered everything, but if anyone
needs more info just give me a shout. Good Luck, Norm
