Am pretty sure lotsa G3's work fine
Mine's a 266 desktop.  IDE drive: IBM HDD.  I've pushed hours of video thru it.
I'd look at Fry's, or any other of that kinda place for a hard drive.
Something like Amazon might work.
Nothing but encouragement here.
