[MacDV] Video shot on a Still Digital Camera

 turn the monitor on its side?

Any video editing software should be able to re-orient it. If you don't have
the software, email it to someone who does-assuming that both of you have
high speed internet.

Or you can drag it to quicktime player and export it as an image sequence
and do it in photoshop and re-import.

Lots of things you can do.
