I've been using a Canopus ADVC-100 for the past few months, and it's
worked very well with my Power Mac G4. It has S-Video, composite, and 
FireWire inputs (and outputs). I've used it to capture video from a 
DirecTV receiver as well as from a VHS tape deck.
