Yeah, that might work, but I'm using the card under OS X 10.2.6.
So, does this problem mean that I need to get an OS X accelerated PCI 
video card? My video settings are:

using on-board 7300's video, with 4MB VRAM
@1024x768, thousands of colours, "genie effect" turned off in Aqua
