On the other hand, you can install "generic" DVD-RW drives (of the same model Apple uses) in PowerMac G4s and PowerBook G4s and they work exactly like Apple's "SuperDrive" -- because they are the same drives, just with different firmware to identify themselves as "Apple" or "(Other)"... Not to mention that the non-Apple drives are way cheaper, too... True, if you have a G3 iMac, iBook, or G4 iMac/eMac without a SuperDrive, there is no way to use iDVD... (You can technically install a DVD-RW drive in a G4 iMac/eMac, but it's a *PAIN* in the neck...) 2 cents.
