Pioneer DVD-R (getting it to work)

Hello,

All this talk about making these Pioneer DVD-R drives work makes me 
think it would be a bad idea for my Blue and white G3. Am I wrong? I 
have a Blue and White G3 and would not mind getting iDVD 3 to work with 
it. I like a lot of the themes that go with it and I heard the themes 
that go with the Lacie DVD-R aren't that great. Has anyone here tried 
it?
