[MacDV] bad dvd from iMovie?

Sounds like you didn't set it up in the iDVD pane of iMovie.
  Start iDVD your self and then put your movie in the preview of iMOvie 
and start defining chapters. Drag them to the chapter slots. Then you 
can tell it to transfer it to iDVD .
Preview it before burning.
