I-Tunes question

Dear gang,

Sorry to ask a stupid question again, but I'm trying to learn I-Tunes, 
and I seem to be confused a little about the folders. I know it's not 
video, but you guys are such software experts, I thought I'd ask.

Do all the tracks stay in the library, whether or not you make a 
seperate folder for "James Taylor" or "Cheryl Crow", etc.?
