Doug, I assume from you correct spelling you too are of English origin?

Are you sure the colour issue is not related to the equipment you are 
playing back on?
have you played it on your computer to verify?

I have not experienced a problem like this and assuming the original 
footage is well lit and good quality cannot offer any ideas, maybe 
someone else has an insight?
