Hi thomas,

We have many mac's here doing Quicktime file conversions on a daily basis,
I've been using the free qt_tools, available from:
http://www.omino.com/~poly/software/qt_tools/

This uses the built-in Quicktime functions via the command line, I just
wrote
a simple perl script that loops through a directory and converts the files.

If you need a hand with any scripting let me know :)
