[MacDV] Re: what to get... or rent?

Thanks... for some reason I thought Digital8 was some sort of doodoo... 
ideally I'd like to get something that will be more useful rather than 
less. Is D8 equivalent in quality to mini-dv? relative to camera 
quality and ccd etc...?
