>fyi I have a 12" powerbook [OS10.2.8] and an old DV iMac [OS9.2.2] For years I've been using an Apricorn EZ-Gig PCMCIA HD adapter to test/use 2.5" drives on Powerbooks. Very handy (especially to see if a FW Bridge is the problem) and you can easily use old naked, abandoned drives to store stuff and make backups. (Oooops, maybe a 12" Powerbook has no PCMCIA slot?) Anyway here's Apricorn EZ-GIG Data Transfer Kit for $43.59: http://www.pricegrabber.com/rating_getprodrev.php/masterid=51803/id_type=mas terid > hello all > I've got a formac external 60Gb drive that I can't see in either OS9 > or OSX but which contains someone else's movies that I don't want to > lose > it did work in OS9, but I've never been able to see it in OSX - now > in OS9 says it wants me to initialize it > I've tried Diskwarrior and norton in OS9 but neither can do anything > - they say it's not a macintosh disk > and disk first aid can't see it > any suggestions? > I will pay a small amount if I need to, either for software or > [local] help with recovery > thanks > mark
