their Protestant countrymen, Lord Baltimore set up
Maryland.

And the Quakers: William Penn set up Pennsylvania to
protect the Quakers from the Catholics and other Protestants.

And, don't forget Rhode Island: Roger Williams created that
colony to protect everybody from everybody else.
